application life cycle has accelerated as well, we have windows that use to be 6 months, that might now only be 1-2 months
Users have increased expectations. - there no longer is teh 8s rule, we have people now expecting < 1s load times
more applications are built into pages now, not just page loads, they expect these applications to act as fast as desktop apps.
recommended that high speed users are under 2s on every page
